The Bill Pickett Trail Riders was established in 2005 by Founder - President/Producer Acynthia Villery. She was born and raised in Beaumont, TX.  Left Beaumont in 1992 and moved to Aurora, CO to work with the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo. Under the mentor ship of Lu Vason for the past 22 years Acynthia has promoted her passion - rodeos!

 

With the knowledge of producing major events and the mentor ship of one of the all time greatest promoters, she now promotes the Bill Pickett Trail Ride annually.

 

The 2nd weekend in June every year in Cheek (Beaumont), TX at Laday's Arena the Bill Pickett Trail Riders host a Trail Ride, Zydeco, Bike Contest, Jackpot and Rodeo. Welcoming all trail ride and bike associations, family and friends to attend.

 

Patrons travel from Denver, CO to New Orleans, LA to attend this event. Fun for all ages, plenty of food and cold drinks.

 

Acynthia is one of the few African American Female Rodeo Promoters that host a Rodeo Series annually awarding buckles and all-around saddles to contestant winners. Over 200 cowboys and cowgirls compete annually for the awards.  Future goal is to award an All-Around Trailer.
